Paul Weinberg writes on echannelline.com:
IBM, Novell and Avnet Partner Solutions are working together to simplify the access of small and medium sized enterprises to the Linux operating system.
Channel partners can now offer their SMB clients a means to begin integrating Linux into their Windows environment, explained Frank Welder, ISV program manager for Novell at Avnet.
IBM and Novell have introduced open middleware products that run on Linux and are targeted for SMB customers. Packaged together as the Integrated Stack for Linux, it includes WebSphere application server community edition (WAS CE), based on the open source Apache Geronimo Web application server; DB2-Express C; IBM eServer x Series (Blade or Storage) and Novell's SUSE Linux Enterprise Server. read more about Linux application servers for small businesses
